Yr 5/6 Science
Sun 09 Oct 2022This week in Y5/6, we have been learning about adaptations that animals have. We focused on a woodpecker’s skull and explored what makes it unique and adapted to its function. We then replicated this using an egg and investigated which materials would offer the best protection when the egg was dropped!

PE with Mr Douglas
Wed 21 Sep 2022Last week, Reception had their first PE lesson with Mr Douglas. The children were moving to a beat and stopping when the beat stopped. Then they went on to throwing pom poms and small balls up into the air and trying to catch them using two hands and then one hand. They loved it!

Yr 3 / 4 DT day
Sun 17 Jul 2022On Monday, Kestrel Class had a DT day in connection with their Ancient Egypt Topic. They learnt about how the civilisation transferred water from the Nile onto land using Shadufs. They then had a go at making their own with the aim of meeting a design criteria. Look how well they did!
