  • New Library area

    Sun 27 Nov 2022

This week, Red Kites enjoyed spending some time in the school’s new library area. We were amazed by the number of new books and very much enjoyed browsing through the newly organised shelves. With so many to choose from, I’m not sure how we’re ever going to decide which one to read first!

  • Year 5 and 6

    Sun 27 Nov 2022

On Monday, Year 5/6 welcomed a local magistrate into school as part of our Rights, Rules and Responsibility topic in PSHE. As part of the insightful talk, Mr Watts explained his role in the courtroom and some of the current laws in the UK.

  • KS1 Visit from Hedgehog rescuer

    Sat 12 Nov 2022

As Part of our Science topic this term, KS1 have been learning about animals and their habitats. This week we had a visit from a local hedgehog rescuer who brought along two prickly visitors for us to meet. The children were able to ask questions about hedgehogs and learnt all about how we can provide enticing habitats for them to thrive in our own back gardens

  • Year 3 / 4

    Sun 06 Nov 2022

At the end of last half term, Year 3/4 were very lucky to have a visit from some Historians from the school community who gave up their time to bring History to life!

They were able to share some exciting knowledge about what Celtic life would have been like when the Romans invaded Britain.  We were also able to imagine what it would have been like to be a Roman hearing the Celtic carnyx being played on the battlefield.
