    Welcome Red Kite class!

    It’s been a busy first Half Term for us in Year 5/6!

    We started our World War Two History learning at Stibbington in role as evacuees. After an insightful day, we have applied this learning in our English and Reading lessons back at school, reading texts about the war and writing newspaper reports.

  • Village walk

    Last week, Reception went for a walk around Somersham village. They saw lots of houses and cars; as well as important landmarks such as the church, dentist, library etc. They had a great time! We then came back and drew a map of our walk

    This week in Y5/6, we have been learning about adaptations that animals have. We focused on a woodpecker’s skull and explored what makes it unique and adapted to its function. We then replicated this using an egg and investigated which materials would offer the best protection when the egg was dropped!
